Capital Stake, CS Solutions (Private) Limited, is a web-based company providing unbiased and independent analytics on companies listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange. Capital Stake aims to empower investors and the general public to make timely and accurate decisions by giving them all the data, analytics, and insights on a single platform.
Capital Stake provides services to clients of more than 15 leading brokerage houses in the country. Capital Stake has also partnered with Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) to enable its analytics for users of the KITS terminal. Capital Stake also powers the data portal of PSX (dps.psx.com.pk)
Alongside the complex nature of the project following challenges were addressed:
Right now, CapitalStake Analytics Platform is only for the target audience in Pakistan but also plans to go to an international audience soon.
Looking at competitors while keeping the present and future goals in mind was vital.
The overall project was divided into small module-based chunks. Each module design process was kickoff by having several meetings with the CapitalStake team. Overall following activities were carried out for each module:
Before coming up to the final variant, multiple varieties were
explored and accessed based on numerous usability factors.
Ultimately, the final variant chosen provides the best value based on world-class design and hassle-free UX.
As per the new vision and scope of the platform, new but more robust navigation was implemented. Which allowed users to arrive at the content they needed quickly. It also provided a universal search, which allowed users to find important information (Index, Stock, or page) with a single click. It also had a collapsible side menu to utilize screen real estate for displaying valuable data.
For the design to be scalable, dynamic, and easy to iterate on designs, code, and ship, a components-based modular approach was used, which greatly enhanced the delivery of visual design.
Component-based design helps compose any screen quickly as all that needs to be done is just piece together different components for any given screen.
Financial tools such as analytics platforms are used throughout the day. And the user experiences burnout and fatigue from viewing the same screens repeatedly. To address this, 3 different dark modes were created named after the moon's phases.
We have been working with Affan on this project for the past six months. He has always been very patient in understanding our fintech product's requirements, which requires understanding Capital Markets. He always does his research to come up with creative ideas to present the numbers in an easy-to-understand way for the users. We expect the platform to be not only one of its kind in Pakistan but beyond also. We hope to continue working with him on our future ventures as well.
